In meinem Langzeitprojekt „looking up“ fotografiere ich reale Innenräume und Deckenansichten kultureller, politischer, administrativer und kommerzieller Gebäude. Mein Fokus liegt auf der Auflösung der Architektur zu neuen geometrischen Flächen, Formen und Bildern. Dabei geht es mir nicht um die Dokumentation der vorhandene Raumkonstellation ab, sondern durch die Zerlegung um die Erschaffung neuer und autonomer Raumkompositionen. Neben der Schönheit und Dimension der Architektur interessieren mich insbesondere, wie Baukunst und Pracht in ihrer Ausstrahlung und symbolischer Bedeutung zusammenhängen.

In my long-term project „looking up,“ I photograph actual interiors and ceilings of cultural, political, administrative and commercial buildings. My focus is on deconstructing the architecture into new geometric surfaces, forms, and images. My aim is not to document the existing spatial configuration, but rather to create new and autonomous spatial compositions through this deconstruction. Beyond the beauty and scale of the architecture, I am particularly interested in how building art and splendor are intertwined in their impact and symbolic meaning.
