Paris • Look-up photo in NikonPro Magazine

Ein Motiv aus meiner „Paris – look-up’s“ Fotoserie wurde für das im Dezember 2014 erschienene NikonPro Magazin ausgewählt.

„On this trip to Paris I wanted to do some architecture shots that were a bit different, so I packed my 14-24mm NIKKOR and aimed for “look-ups”,“ explains the German architecture and portrait photographer René Spalek. This is La Defense Grande Arche, a huge marble and glass clad arch, built in 1989 to mirror the Arc de Triomphe on the other side of the city. It commemorates the bicentenary of the French Revolution. and now houses government offices

„I like this image, because it shows how imposing this building is as well as its dynamics. I had to try out quite a few perspectives and wait until the light was even, which took some time.’ He used the D800, of which he says, ‘It’s a very fine DSLR with very high resolution. The 14-24mm NIKKOR is a super sharp lens with a great focal length, which I often use for architecture photography, as I like the extreme wide angle.“
